The Major General Franklin E. Miles Chapter 229 of the Military Order of World Wars in Los Alamos announces New Mexico Legislative District 43 Rep. Jim Hall, who will present a talk on the recently completed special session of the New Mexico Legislature at the Chapter’s November dinner meeting. The meeting will be today at the Best Western Hilltop House, third floor. The meeting will begin with a social period at 6 p.m., followed by a brief business meeting and dinner at 6:25 p.m. Hall’s talk will begin at about 7:15 p.m.

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce presents FAN Club from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Los Alamos Cooperative Market. Enjoy food and networking.

The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series presents, “Winnie the Pooh,” at 7 p.m. in the White Rock Town Hall.

The Authors Speak Series presents “David Stuart: People of the Pajarito Plateau,” at 7 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda. The event is being held one week earlier due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Los Alamos Democratic Party featured speaker will be  Donald Morris, a longtime Los Alamos Democrat. He will speak at 7 p.m. at Mesa Public Library. All are welcome to attend.   

The Los Alamos County Republican Party will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Hill Top House, third floor conference room.

Los Alamos Chapter #63 of the Eastern Star will hold their annual sales of Collin Street Bakery fruitcakes, apricot pecan cakes and pineapple pecan cakes at Los Alamos National Bank on Nov. 18, Dec. 2, 9 and 16. For information, call Betty Robertson at 662-5185.

Big M.A.C. is having a Welcome Back Dance for  middle school students only from 7-9 p.m. at Pueblo  Gym on Diamond Drive. Admission is $3 and students whose parents volunteer to  chaperone get in free. Parent chaperones are needed. Big M.A.C. is  sponsored by the Youth Activity Center, a program of the Los Alamos Family  Council. Call 662-9412 for more information and to volunteer to chaperone.  

Los Alamos Little Theatre presents, “An Inspector Calls,” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors and are available at C.B. Fox, or at the door.
