The Sierra Club is hosting Kim Ribbons from Bioneers, a global nonprofit organization, at 7 p.m. at Mesa Public Library. Bioneers serves as a hub and source for breakthrough solutions for the issues facing us today. Through conferences in the U.S. and internationally, globally syndicated radio series and other media outlets, Bioneers is encouraging a way to live on Earth that honors both people and planet. The Mesa Public Library Film Series will show the film “Sin Nombre,” at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting rooms. The film is about a young girl’s fraught journey to the U.S.
Dia de los Muertos: A group show featuring work by Cruz Lopez, Toby Morfin, Diego Lopez, Benjamin Lopez, Leroy Lopez, Adrian Martinez, Russell Martinez, Tom Borrego, Patricio Chavez, Gene Ortega, Bryan Romero and Jaime Rodriguez will open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Northern New Mexico College’s Nick Salazar Center for the Arts Art Gallery. The show will run until Sunday night.

The Los Alamos Concert Association presents the young chamber ensemble Concertante, in a concert at 8 p.m. in the Duane Smith Audiorium. The program will include a performance of Chopin’s “Piano Quintent in E Minor,” featuring pianist Adam Neiman. Advance tickets may be purchased for $30 at Otowi Station Bookstore and CB Fox Department Store, at Smith’s in White Rock and at Nicholas Potter Bookseller in Santa Fe. Tickets may also be purchased for $35 at the door.
The Xi Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will host their annual craft fair on Nov. 6 at the First Baptist Church on Diamond Drive. One highlight of the event is the annual raffle of a handmade quilt and 25 additional prizes all available with a chance at buying the $1 ticket. The Santa Fe Opera is back with an exhibition in the upstairs art gallery of costumes from a variety of productions.
