The Los Alamos High School NJROTC will host brisket night from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Posse Shack on North Mesa, about one mile from the roundabout, on the left.
$10 per plate, includes barbecue brisket, potato salad, vegetable, a roll, drink and dessert.
The Authors Speaks Series will feature novelist and playwright Mark Dunn at 7 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda at Mesa Public Library.
Democratic Party meeting from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Mesa Public Library, meeting room 3. Local Democrats will gather to discuss final plans for election activities. All supporters of Democratic Party values are invited to attend.
The Los Alamos High School ’Topper marching band is selling gourmets pies by Chef Pierre for its annual fundraiser. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Los Alamos National Bank Lobby. Select from cherry cobbler, lemon meringue, unbaked fruits, chocolate French silk and pumpkin. Prices are $14-$16 and order will be in on Nov. 17.
Club Anime will meet at 4 p.m. at Mesa Public Library.
