A talk on “Nuclear Weapons, Past, Present and Future” will be given by LANL weapons programs expert Joseph C. Martz at an open meeting of the Los Alamos Committee on Arms Control and International Security in Graves Hall at the United Church. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. with brief reports and business followed at 7:30 p.m. by Martz, who was named in 2009 as the inaugural William J. Perry Fellow in International Security at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation.

Maul of Horrors Haunted House, sponsored by For Kids Sake will be open from 6-11 p.m. through Oct. 23 and Oct. 25-29; from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 30; 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 30; and noon-7 p.m. Oct. 31. DeVargas Center, Santa Fe. For Kids Sake will also host El Pueblo Asylum, a haunted house and pumpkin patch in Española. The event will be located at the old El Pueblo Bank Building in the San Pedro Plaza. El Pueblo Asylum will run from 6-11 p.m. Oct. 28-30 and noon- 8 p.m. Oct. 31.
