Poetry gatherings, 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda of Mesa Public Library.
The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will have its monthly meeting at
7 p.m. in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library. There will be a discussion and sharing of “Roadblocks in our Genealogy Research.” Everyone is asked to bring their research roadblock to share. The public is invited. For more information, call Jodie Frye at 662-3381.
The Los Alamos Federated Republican Women meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the home of the LAFRW president Ann Wadstrom, 253 San Juan. They will have a guest speaker from the county, who will discuss future projects. Members are reminded to bring non-perishable food items and toiletries for charity donations. Caroline Seigel, art appraiser and Penelope Perryman, psychotherapist, will present a program about family treasures at 1 p.m. at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. Topics to be addressed include: How to create a useful inventory; appraisals and appraisers; insurance for lost of damaged treasures; when the children don’t want your treasures; donating or selling collections.
