Nate McDowell of the Los Alamos National Laboratory Climate Research Lab, will give a talk on the “Effects of Climate on Plants,” at 7 p.m. at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center, 3540 Orange St. The talk is free and open to the public.
Poetry gatherings, 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda of Mesa Public Library.
The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library. There will be a discussion and sharing of “Roadblocks in our Genealogy Research.” Everyone is asked to bring their research roadblock to share. The public is invited. The Los Alamos Federated Republican Women meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the home of the LAFRW president Ann Wadstrom, 253 San Juan. They will have a guest speaker from the county, who will discuss future projects. Members are reminded to bring non-perishable food items and toiletries for charity donations.
