The Los Alamos Volunteer Examiner group will host the final exam session of the year at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Fire Barn, (4017Arkansas) in the upstairs meeting room. There will be testing for all classes of radio license. A picture ID or two other forms of ID and a test fee of $15, either cash or a check made out to the ARRL VEC is needed for those who wish to test. Those who wish to upgrade will need a picture ID and two other forms of ID, the original license and a copy or a valid CSCE (Certificate of Successful Completion of Exam) and a copy, plus the $15 exam fee. Wednesday
Monster Movie Wednesdays at UNM-LA will feature “The Invisible Man” at 6 p.m. in the UNM-LA Lecture Hall in Building 2. The movie is free and open to the public.
Thursday
The Los Alamos Republican Women will elect officers for 2011-2012 at their 7 p.m. meeting at the Republican Headquarters, 146 Central Park Square. Betty Cox will present a program on the history of Women’s Right to Vote. For information call JoAnn Johnson at 662-7981.
Poetry gatherings will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda at Mesa Public Library.
