The Pajarito Astronomers will hold a county sponsored Dark Night at 6:30 p.m. at Spirio Soccer Field, Overlook Park. Weather permitting, the public is invited to come out, wander among the telescopes and star gaze. The Moon and the planets Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus will be visible and star gazers will look at a faint Comet Hartley 2. There will be a tour of the summer and fall constellations as well as telescope views of double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Viewing will end before midnight.Call Steve Becker at 662-3252 for information.
The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) will meet at 4 p.m. at Mesa Public Library.
Dick Mason will discuss the new federal health care reform at the monthly League of Women Voters Lunch with a Leader from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Central Avenue Grill. The menu at Central Avenue Grill gives you many choices for your entree, plus iced tea or lemonade, tax and gratuity for just $15. Although you do not have to RSVP to attend, it is helpful for Central Avenue Grill to know how many people are coming so they can set up tables accordingly.
