The Community Winds perform 4 p.m. at Crossroads Bible Church. Admission is free, however a $10 donation is recommended.

Fuller Lodge Art Center hosts a costume class. Alison Chilen will teach how to make molds, sculpting and shaping masks and other Halloween accessories. 9 a.m. to noon at the art center. For more information email Ken at director@fullerlodgeartcenter.com.

The Pajarito Astronomers will host County-Sponsored Dark Night starting at 6:30 p.m. at Spirio Soccer Field, Overlook Park in White Rock. Weather permitting, the public is invited to come out, look through telescopes and star gaze. The planets Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus will be visible. There will be a tour of the autumn constellations, and there will be telescope views of double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. The public is invited. Viewing will end before midnight. Cowboy Breakfast. 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse Lodge, 650 N. Mesa Road near the stables. Seasonal pancake is apple cinnamon. $7 adults, $4 children age 10 and under.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (IHM) will host a concert to formally dedicate their new organ in the memory of Cathy LeClaire at 4 p.m. Dr. Maxine Thevenot will present a concert of organ music to showcase this new instrument. Admission to the concert is free.

Nature Playtimes at PEEC. 10-11 a.m. Toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers come to PEEC to explore the natural world. Fall Brush and Bulk Item Collection. A quarterly service to assist residents with the disposal of brush and bulky items. 8 a.m. in Los Alamos for those with Monday or Tuesday trash days. The Pajarito Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet on at 7 p.m. in Gibson Hall of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. After a short business meeting, the group will begin stitching Hardanger Christmas ornaments. Guests are welcome. For more information call Marilyn at 672-9404.
