The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be at 6 p.m. in Building No. 1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. There will be a brief report on the Suicide Awareness and Prevention Week programs. The public is welcome to attend.

Alzheimer’s Walk Fundraiser at Papa Murphy’s Pizza, 3801 Arkansas Ave. For every pizza sold all day, Papa Murphy’s will donate $1 to the Los Alamos Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Democratic Party of Los Alamos will have the monthly meeting, 7 p.m. at UNM-LA, building 2. There will be a celebration of the recent marriage equality decision in Los Alamos. Discussion with speakers and refreshments will be available. All Democrats are welcome to attend.

Ponderosas in the Urban Landscape. 6:30 to 8 p.m. Laural Hardin, certified arborist, will present a detailed look at the complex issue of ponderosa pine mortality in the urban landscape. The Santa Fe Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which includes three wards in Los Alamos County is sponsoring a Preparedness Fair, “Oil in Your Lamp.” 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the White Rock Building of the LDS Church, 366 Grand Canyon Dr. Free. Ongoing demonstrations, information booths and displays.

Get to know the Arduino Workshop hosted at the Bradbury Science Museum by Stan Cohen of New Mexico Highlands University and Gordon McDonough, museum educator. Hands-on workshop to demonstrate how to build and program arduinos. An arduino is a single-board micro-controller with an open-source platform designed to make electronic projects more accessible.
