The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will meet at 7 p.m. at the Mesa Public Library. The public is invited. There is also a free genealogical conference in Albuquerque on Sept. 14. The Next Big Idea Festival. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Los Alamos. The Bradbury Science Museum will have a booth at the festival where kids can tinker with gadgets and see how they work.
