The annual Knights of Columbus Scholarship Golf Tournament has been slated for Sept. 9 at the Los Alamos Golf Club. Entry fee is $60 for golf club members and $100 for all others. Format will be two-person team modified Las Vegas style scramble. For more information, call Tom Courtney, 699-4769.

Chit chat and change diapers, 10:30-noon, at Family Strengths Network. This is a discussion group for first-time parents of newborns to age three. They will discuss games for baby, media and moderation and childproofing. Refreshments are provided. No registration required, drop in for any session.

The Los Alamos Big Band free concert and dance will be from 7-10 p.m. at Fuller Lodge.

The Los Alamos Little Theatre presents, “8x10,” a short play festival. This is the theatre’s third one-act play festival featuring eight 10-minute shows. The festival runs at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9-10, Sept. 16-17, and Sept. 23-24; and at 2 p.m. Sept. 18. Tickets are $12 for adults; $10 for students and seniors, and are available at CB Fox or at the door. Ranger talk at Juniper Campground Amphitheater, 8:15 p.m., titled, “How to Survive in Bandelier.” The talk is free.

Recurring meetings

The Atomic City Corvette Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Time Out Pizza in White Rock. Guests are always welcome. You do not need to own a Corvette to attend. For more information, contact Mike Luna at 672-4087.
