Bird Banding talk at Pajarito Environmental Education Center, 3540 Orange St. at 7 p.m. July 27.  The fee is $10 or $8 for members. The fee will be refunded to volunteers for Park Flight field trips.

GeekOut Game Night!  From 5:30-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the Mesa Public Library’s Upstairs Rotunda. Bring your own games, play ours, bring friends, meet new friends.

The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series presents “Rango” at
7 p.m. in the White Rock Town Hall.

The Authors Speak Series presents “Novel Destinations,” a talk and slideshow by Robert Gibson, John Arrowsmith and Chris Ortega, on their trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti, at 7 p.m. in the Mesa Public Library’s upstairs rotunda.

A talk on “The Contemporary U.S. Nuclear Policy and Strategy Debate” will be given by University of New Mexico Professor of Political Science Andrew L. Ross at 7:30 p.m. at an open meeting of the Los Alamos Committee on Arms Control and International Security in Room 115 of the Christian Education Building at the United Church in Los Alamos.  A three-way debate among maximalists, minimalists and abolitionists has emerged. This debate will be examined in the context of the Nuclear Posture Review, New START, and the New START ratification debate.
