The Democratic Party of Los Alamos County will meet from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Mesa Public Library meeting rooms to discuss upcoming events.
The Friends of the Senior Center and Assets In Action will hold the second annual intergenerational community Prom. The 6 p.m.-8 p.m. event will be at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. A king and queen of the prom will be named and concessions will be sold. Admission is $1 and the donation of one canned food or non-perishable item, to benefit a local food pantry.
The Los Alamos Jewish Center is hosting a buffet dinner for the Santa Fe Jewish community, as a way to thank them for the hospitality they extended to Los Alamos evacuees during the Las Conchas fire. The dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Los Alamos Jewish Center, 2400 Canyon Road. The dinner will be followed by Friday evening services at 8 p.m., led by Rabbi Jack Shlachter.
The Pajarito Astronomers will hold a county sponsored Dark Night at 8:15 p.m. at Spirio Soccer Field, Overlook Park. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Call Steve Becker at 662-3252 for information.
