The Los Alamos Historical Society’s Atomic Film Festival begins today in Fuller Lodge. The first feature film is Emmy Award-winning “Day One,” starring Brian Dennehy as Gen. Leslie Groves and David Straithairn as J. Robert Oppenheimer. Admission is free. Snacks and drinks will be available for a price. Chairs will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring pillows, blankets and other items to relax. For more information and time, email judith@losalamoshistory.org.
Los Alamos Community of Atheists will host a discussion from 6-8 p.m. in meeting room one of Mesa Public Library. This month’s topic will springboard off the belief-o-matic quiz that can be found at beliefnet.com. They will talk about how their own ideas might partially line up with different world religions and what that means personally and in society. All are welcome.
