Summer Family Evenings at PEEC, 6:30 p.m. Treasure Hunt. The Y’s youth corps will create a variety of treasure hunts for all abilities — from scavenger hunts to geocaching and more. The next Suicide Awareness and Prevention Working Group meeting will be from 2-4 p.m. at the Los Alamos Municipal Building, room 330. Presentation from Dan Green, the social indicator epidemiologist for the New Mexico Department of Health, along with guests from New Mexico Public Education Department and University of New Mexico will present data from the 2011 Los Alamos County Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey.

The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be at 6 p.m. in Building no. 1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. The public is welcome to attend.
Grand Opening of the National Interagency Fire Center at TA-49 and the anniversary of the start of the Las Conchas wildfire. The Bradbury Science Museum will participate at the opening by featuring their exhibit “Living with Wildfire.” To be confirmed due to active firefighting efforts.
The Los Alamos Community of Atheists will discuss strategies to deal with conflicts and differences of opinion with religious family members, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in meeting room 1 of the Mesa Public Library.
