The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will meet 7 p.m. at the Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos. The speaker will be Eowyn Langholf from Albuquerque and her topic will be “A Quickie on the Wiki, It’s not that Tricky.” The public is invited.
White Rock Family Friendly Film Series. “Flubber.” 6:30 p.m. at White Rock Town Hall.
Downtown Dogs. A weekly walking group for dogs and humans. The walk starts at 6 p.m. from Pet Pangaea for a stroll around downtown Los Alamos. Bring a leash, no longer than six feet.
“Things with Wings,” is a juried group exhibit displaying the work of artists from northern New Mexico. Each artist has an interpretation of the theme, as reflected in paintings, ceramics, photographs and manipulated digital media. Daily through Saturday at the Fuller Lodge Art Center.
The Darker Side of White: Art by Tiffany Rose at the Mesa Public Library Upstairs Art Gallery. Show runs daily until June 29.
Chamber of Commerce Picnic at the Park. 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Central Park Square. The picnic offers dinner and an opportunity to socialize and network with other members.
Nature Odyssey. 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. PEEC’s day camp for children entering grades 4-6. Become a nature detective this summer in the beautiful Valles Caldera National Preserve, where you’ll be on the case investigating its diverse habitats from rivers to meadows to forests. $325/$305 PEEC members. Living Earth Adventure Program (LEAP). 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PEEC’s high-adventure camp for kids entering grades 7-8. Explore the archeology, geology, ecology, and wildlife from the Rio Grande Valley to the Jemez Mountains! Go rock climbing, hiking, geocaching, and camping. $375/$355 PEEC members. Gordon Summer Concert Series. Red Elvises. 7-10 p.m. at Ashley Pond.
ChamberFest. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. off of MainStreet at Central Park Square. The annual event showcases members by providing an chance to display products and services to the public. Friends of the Shelter will be sponsoring a Mobile Pet Adoption from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Smith’s grocery store.
Nature Playtimes Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico. 10-11 a.m. Toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers come to PEEC to explore the natural world.
