See some of the opportunities that Los Alamos has to offer, ask questions and buy some used books at the Homeschool Fair and Curriculum Sale. The fair will be at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Hall. Set-up will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the fair will end at 7 p.m. To sponsor a table or for more information, email NarumHC@yahoo.com.

The Los Alamos County Republican Party will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Hilltop House, third floor conference room.

Saturday
The annual Spring Plant Sale will be from 8 a.m.-noon at 3197 Woodland Road. The event is sponsored by the Los Alamos Garden Club.

Artists, hobbyists and enthusiasts are invited to clean out their closets and join in some fun from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center, 3540 Orange St. The Pajarito Environmental Education Center, Karen Wray Fine Art Gallery, Fuller Lodge Art Center and Village Art are teaming up to offer the community a chance to get together and swap everything and anything artistic. The next Kick Off for the American Cancer Society’s Los Alamos Relay For Life will be from 7:30-10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge on the corner of 15th St. and Sage.  Information about Relay for Life will be provided in addition to sign up for teams and sponsors for the Relay event on Aug. 5 and 6. The Masons will serve their a waffle breakfast to help raise money for Relay.  Relay For Life celebrates cancer survivors, remembers those who lost their battle with cancer, is a way for everyone to fight against cancer, is fun for the whole family, and raises money to support cancer research and services for cancer patients.

The Rotary Club of Los Alamos meets at 11:45 a.m.  Tuesday at Central Avenue Grill.

The New Mexico Orienteers will meet for a start/finish on the east side of Guaje Pines Cemetery. Start time will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Contact meet director Tami Martinson at 662-7533 or visit nm-orienteers.org for more information.

 A garden fair will be on June 11 in the demonstration garden across from the library. The event includes mini-lectures for the gardener, craft activities for children, garden tours, a plant clinic, rose-pruning demonstration and plant sale.
