The May meeting of the Los Alamos Master Gardeners will be a potluck dinner, which will be shared with the 2011 class of Master Gardeners, to celebrate their graduation from the class. The event will be at 6 p.m. at the White Rock Community Building. There will be a short business meeting afterwards.

LANL scientist, Joyce Guzik will be the speaker at the Military Order of World Wars dinner meeting at 6 p.m. at the Best Western Hilltop House. Call Lt. Col. See some of the opportunities that Los Alamos has to offer, ask questions and buy some used books at the Homeschool Fair and Curriculum Sale. Saturday
The annual Spring Plant Sale will be from 8 a.m.-noon at 3197 Woodland Road. The event is sponsored by the Los Alamos Garden Club.

Artists, hobbyists and enthusiasts are invited to clean out their closets and join in some fun from

The next Kick Off for the American Cancer Society’s Los Alamos Relay For Life will be from 7:30-10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge on the corner of 15th St. and Sage.  The Masons will serve their a waffle breakfast to help raise money for Relay.  Relay For Life celebrates cancer survivors, remembers those who lost their battle with cancer, is a way for everyone to fight against cancer, is fun for the whole family, and raises money to support cancer research and services for cancer patients.
