The Chamber of Commerce May business breakfast. 7:30 to 9 a.m. at UNM-LA, will cover the topic of Alzheimer’s and introduce a program such as that which been adopted in Watertown, Wis. Jan Zimmerman initiated the effort in Watertown and envisions a community where residents are fully educated about dementia, business owners are trained on how to assist customers with memory loss, and people with dementia remain independent for as long as possible.

United Blood Services drive will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Diamond Drive.
