At the Los Alamos Hilltalkers Speech and Debate team annual banquet today, retiring coach Noel Trujillo will be honored for his contributions to New Mexico Speech and Debate and to the Hilltalkers. The Hilltalkers would like to invite all past and present Hilltalkers and their families to the banquet to be a part of this celebration of Trujillo’s career. Voices of Praise Choir will perform a spring concert at
6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Los Alamos. Admission is free. A potluck dinner and reception will follow.
The Los Alamos High School NJROTC will have a Barbecue Brisket Dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Posse Lodge on North Mesa. Dinner is $10.
An update on Arms Control and the Recent Carnegie Conference will be reported by Cheryl Rofer, George Chandler and Jim Bradbury at a meeting of the Los Alamos Committee on Arms Control and International Security at 7 p.m. in the Lounge at the United Church.

A rummage sale to benefit “Pegasus,” the annual Los Alamos High School art and literary magazine, will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Duane Smith Auditorium parking lot. Buy a space for $20 and sell your goods. Proceeds from the space rental benefit “Pegasus.” To reserve a space in advance, call 663-2672 or the LAHS main office.
Los Alamos Little League opening day ceremony will be at noon, at the North Mesa Baseball Fields (Majors Field), followed by the Rockies vs. Dodgers game at 1:30 p.m. and the Padres vs. Giants at 4 p.m.
