Los Alamos County Power of Parents, associated with the Mother’s Against Drunk Driving program. The free community event is designed on principles proven to reduce underage drinking by 30 percent. 6 p.m. at White Rock Town Hall. For more information visit madd.org/PowerTalk21.

The Los Alamos Photo Club (LAPC) meets from 7-9 p.m., the third Tuesday of each month, upstairs in Fuller Lodge Art Center. The focus of LAPC is photography in general. LAPC normally has one or two field trips per year and occasionally sponsors workshops and classes. All are welcome. Dues are $12 per year and are good for the Los Alamos Adobe Users Group. Los Alamos County will be holding public information meetings in Los Alamos at the current Teen Center, located in the lower level of the Trinity On the Hill Episcopal Church from 3-5 p.m. for the teens and then at the Community Building (future Teen Center site) from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to update residents on the design of the new Los Alamos Teen Center.

The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be 6 p.m. in Building No. 1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. Bernadette Lauritzen will give an update on the Assets in Action program. The public is welcome to attend.

The April program of the Los Alamos Mountaineers will feature a free talk by canyoneer Rich Carlson. 7:30 p.m. at Fuller Lodge, following the business portion of the Mountaineers’ meeting. For more information, visit lamountaineers.org.
Thursday
The Democratic Party of Los Alamos will have its monthly meeting from 7-8 p.m., in Building 2 at UNMLA. They will be discussing the upcoming JFK dinner, listening to state candidates and talking about election plans. All Democrats are encouraged to attend.

White Rock Family Friendly Film Series. “Smurfs 2,” 6:30 p.m. at White Rock Town Hall.

Antarctica Through the Lens of “National Geographic.” 7 p.m. Last November, Los Alamos local Stephen Becker embarked on the National Geographic Explorer ship to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island and Antarctica. During this voyage, the “National Geographic” photographers produced a 50-minute video. Becker will show the video, and talk about the trip in this event at PEEC. Free. Waffle Breakfast to benefit Los Alamos High School Choirs. 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Pajarito Lodge No. 66 AF & AM, 15th Street and Canyon Road. $7 adults, $3 age 6 and under.

Los Alamos Youth Leadership Wild Day. 9:30 a.m. at LAHS Griffith Gym. Wild Day has been an ongoing annual event for elementary students to enjoy themselves and have fun with the safety and supervision of the LAYL students. Pick up for the kids will start 2:30 p.m. Additional information including flyers will be given to the students of the elementary schools.
