Celebrate National Poetry Month with a poetry gathering at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda of Mesa Public Library.
The Los Alamos Federated Republican Women will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. at the home of Janet Hall, 129 S. Monte Rey Dr. Harry Burgess, the new county administrator is the guest speaker. It will be an opportunity to meet him and extend a welcome. Members are reminded to bring non-perishable food items and toiletries for charity donations. The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in Room 3 at the Mesa Public Library. There will be a group discussion on the early migratory paths in the United States. The public is invited.

First Friday Forts at Pajarito Environmental Education Center (moved to the second Friday because of spring break). Join other kids at PEEC to build forts and play in them together. Every first Friday of the month from after school until dusk. Free, but parents must stay with their kids.
