The Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center will host a Spring Fling for all ages, from noon-4 p.m. through Friday. Family friendly movies will be shown at noon and 2 p.m. every day and either the giant island obstacle course or the bouncy house will be set up for any and all to play on from 1-3 p.m. Discount admission rates will be applied from noon-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. The Los Alamos Arts Council presents Petra and the Jay, during the Brown Bag Series at noon at Fuller Lodge. Excerpts from the original sci-fi musical, book and lyrics by Cary Neeper; music by Alice B. Kellogg; directed by Alicia Solomon.

Regina Wheeler, known in Los Alamos for establishing multiple environmental initiatives, and Karlis Viceps from Positive Energy, will discuss economic, design and installation considerations for solar photovoltaic systems. Learn about economic incentives, mounting and modules, quality installation methods and much more at 7 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of Mesa Public Library. The public is invited.

Individuals and volunteers interested in helping to plan a safe, fun-filled, drug-free, all-night celebration for Los Alamos High School and home school graduating seniors are invited to a Senior Appreciation Night planning meeting from 1-2 p.m. at the Aquatic Center Training Room, 2760 Canyon Road. Parents, organization representatives, community service groups and business owners are invited to attend. The Mesa Public Library Free Film Series presents, “The Snapper,” at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room.

Fish fry from 5-7 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Dinner includes fried fish, coleslaw, rice and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and may be purchased at the door or through the IHM Youth Office. Proceeds benefit the IHM Honduras Missionaries, the Knights of Columbus and the Youth Work camp.

The Los Alamos Elks will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Ashley Pond. This is a free event for the whole family. Children age 12 and younger can dash for the many eggs that will be hidden. Bring a basket. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny and Elroy the Elk. “Rhythm and Rhyme” exhibit jurors David Mutschlecner and Jane Lin celebrate the intersection of poetry and the visual arts with a reading in the Fuller Lodge Art Center Gallery from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Other local poets and artists, Mary Cisper, Henry Finney, Beth Wingate and Darla Graff Thompson will join them.

The Los Alamos Volunteer Examiner group will host the second Amateur Radio exam session of the year at 6:30 p.m. at the “Old Fire Barn”(4017Arkansas) in the upstairs meeting room. There will be testing for all classes of license. Those wishing to take the initial test for a Technician Class License, will need a picture ID or two other forms of ID and a test fee of $15, either cash or a check made out to the ARRL VEC. Those wishing to upgrade to a higher-class license, will need a picture ID or two other forms of ID, original license and a copy or a valid CSCE (Certificate of Successful Completion of Exam) and a copy, plus the $15 exam fee. First Friday Forts at Pajarito Environmental Education Center (moved to the second Friday because of spring break). Join other kids at PEEC to build forts and play in them together.
