The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be 6 p.m. in Building No. 1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. Aaron Purtzer, director of the Reach and Rise program at the YMCA, will give a presentation about this new mentoring program for youths in Los Alamos. The public is welcome to attend.

New Mexico Consortium is hosting Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce FAN Club. From 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Consortium’s Biolab, 100 Entrada Drive.
Free, open to Chamber members and community members who would like to learn more about the Consortium’s wide-ranging endeavors.

Senior Appreciation Night. 1-2 p.m. at the Aquatic Center Classroom.

The Democratic Party of Los Alamos will have a presentation from some members of the “ Plastic Bag Ban” group that has recently been formed in Los Alamos. Their goal is to ban single use plastic bags much like Santa Fe is now doing in an effort to protect the environment. All Democrats are welcome to attend the meeting that will be 7 p.m. at UNM-LA in Building 2.

“Sisters in Art — Sisters at Heart,” shows in the Portal Gallery of Fuller Lodge Art Center April 26.

The public is invited to a reception for “It’s Not Easy Being Green” show from 5-7 p.m. at the Fuller Lodge Art Center. 45 artists join forces to present 78 pieces on living green.
