Los Alamos Medical Center presents “To Your Health,” a free community education lecture series from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the LAMC cafeteria. Dr. Ian Alexander, ENT will talk about new advances in sinusitis treatment.
There will be a benefit bingo and Frito pie sale at 6:30 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall, 401 Trinity Dr. Ladies and the Knights of Columbus agreed to donate the proceeds of the benefit bingo and Frito pie sale toward efforts being made to assist a family in Medanales whose house burned and sustained water damage Feb. 13. The Authors Speaks Series presents Lucy Lippard and Ed Ranney at 7 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda of Mesa Public Library.

Los Alamos Little Theatre and Mesa Public Library present a film showing of “Gone with the Wind,” from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday in the upstairs meeting rooms of Mesa Public Library. Admission is free. See the movie and preview the play about the making of “Gone with the Wind,” LALT’s Moonlight and Magnolias.
The University of New Mexico-Los Alamos presents a Music Marathon from 2-9 p.m. at the UNM-LA Student Center. The event will feature a bagpiper, violinists, cellists, a choir doing “HMS Pinafore,” a bluegrass band, saxophone quartets, piano music and piano duets and other types of performances. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted and will help upgrade campus laboratory facilities and support student scholarships.
My Smart Hands Level 1, parts 1 and 2: ASL for Baby and Me will be from 6-7 p.m. Feb. 28-March 21. The cost of the class is $100 for Part 1 and $65 for Part 2, which will be from 7-8 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 28-March 21. Bring baby to class. Toddlers may play in Resource Center during class. The Sierra Club presents Jeanne Fair and Mark Jankowski of LANL, at 7 p.m. at Mesa Public Library. The pair will talk about the Avian Flu and West Nile Virus.
The March meeting of the Los Alamos Master Gardeners will be 7 p.m. in the White Rock Town Hall.
Teatro Paraguas will present Jim Sagel, poeta Nuevo Mexicano, a tribute to the poet, writer, instructor, and long-time Española resident at 7 p.m. in the UNM-Los Alamos Lecture Hall (Bldg. 2). The event is free of charge and open to everyone.
Opera Alta and the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos present Gilbert and Sullivan’s “HMS Pinafore,” condensed concert version at 7 p.m. March 4 and 2 p.m. March 5 at 1738 North Sage St. Suggested donation is $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
