What’s That Bird? 7 p.m. In this interactive bird identification workshop, Dave Yeamans will answer all your questions and provide a wealth of information including problematic bird identifications, bird feeding ideas, and general birding information. Family Birding Weekend at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Birding experts will be available at specific times and locations around the refuge, and there will be family-oriented activities involving hikes and games, including birding booklets with activities for kids. A PEEC Junior Birder badge will be awarded to young participants at the end of the day. Discounted hotel rates available in nearby Socorro on Friday night. New Mexico Dance Theater Performance Company (NMDT-PC), directed by Susan Baker-DIllingham, will present “All About Love,” 7:30 p.m. at the Duane W. Smith auditorium. “All About Love” features three ballets including the classical ballet “Paquita,” “5 Love Songs” and “Red, White and Denim.” Tickets are available in advance at Uli’s, or at the door 45 minutes prior to performance times, and are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and children four and under are free.
