The February meeting of the Master Gardeners will be at 7 p.m. at the White Rock Town Hall.
Mesa Public Library presents “Round Midnight,” as part of the Free Film Series, at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting rooms of MPL.

A Chinese New Year celebration will be at the First Baptist Church, 2200 Diamond Dr. A Chinese New Year carnival will be from 3-6 p.m., followed by a Chinese New Year party from 6-9 p.m. Talent shows, games, a Chinese-style dinner, a carnival with dim-sum, crafts, a theatrical show and Chinese calligraphy will be offered. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Children younger than four are admitted free.
Los Alamos Little Theatre will hold auditions for “A Class Act,” the story of Edward Kleban, the Tony Award winning lyricist of “A Chorus Line.” A non-required workshop will be from noon-2 p.m. Feb. 5.
Auditions will be from 7-10 p.m. Feb. 11 and from noon-1 p.m. Feb. 12 at Los Alamos Little Theatre, 1670 Nectar Street. Callbacks will be from 1:30-4 p.m. Feb. 12.
