The Republican Party of Los Alamos will elect the 2011-2012 County Central Committee and its officers at the Best Western Hilltop House. The County Contingent to the Republican Party of New Mexico Central Committee will also be elected. Republicans registered in the County of Los Alamos are encouraged to attend. Registration opens at 6:30 p.m. and closes at 7 p.m.  A meeting of the 2009-2010 Central Committee begins at 7 p.m., followed by Ward Caucuses and the County Convention. The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library. The theme of this meeting will be “Old, Interesting and Strange Family Recipes. Bring a copy of a recipe to share with everyone and a sample if desired. The public is invited. For more information call Jodie Frye at 662-3381.

The Chamisa Elementary PTO will host a  five week, “Love and Logic” parenting seminar, with instructor Lisa Bigley.The cost is $60 per couple or $40 per individual. Additional information is available at the Chamisa Web site or by calling 672-2769. The class beginsThursday at 6 p.m. and the fee includes a workbook.
