Singles with Soul are invited to participate in Ecumenical Lenten Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (sponsored also by Trinity on the Hill Episcopal church and the United Church).
The Los Alamos Film Society will be picking films to screen for the next six months and it’s looking for public input. Go to the websites for the two distributors we work with, www.newyorkerfilms.com and www.zeitgeistfilms.com. Then e-mail suggestions to gdwilson@alum.emory.edu or print out descriptions of the films you like and come to the selection meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Starbucks.
The Los Alamos Democratic Party is holding a candidates’ forum from 7-9 p.m. in Fuller Lodge.
THURSDAY
The Community Health Council will meet from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. The group will look at emergency preparedness, youth violence and crime, and underage drinking.
Mesa Public Library Free Film Series screens “Limbo” at 6 p.m. at the library. Admission is free.
