The independent Pecos League is interested in Los Alamos as a potential site for an expansion team for the 2014 season.

Andrew Dunn, presdient of the Pecos League, sent a letter to several local figures asking about the possibility of bringing a team to Bomber Field.

The Pecos League operates several teams in New Mexico, including the Santa Fe Fuego, Las Vegas Train Robbers and Raton Osos. Dunn said with travel and other considerations, having a team in Los Alamos would make sense geographically and financially for expansion of the eight-team league.

More informaton will appear in the Los Alamos Monitor next week.
