Baseball: Hawks split a pair, sweep a pair

The Los Alamos Middle School Hawk seventh grade baseball team started its season winning three out of four contests.
The Hawks opened their season April 9 splitting a doubleheader with Española. Two days later, the Hawks swept Taos Middle School, taking both games by scores of 11-1.
Brian Johnson earned the victory in game two against Española as LAMS picked up an 11-9 decision. Connor Mang took the loss in the first game as the defense struggled with errors. LAMS lost 14-7.
Against Taos, Lane Saunders was the winning pitcher in the first game and Derek Selvage earned the win in the nightcap. Michael Klegg and Kyle Hutton both pitched an inning in relief of Selvage.
