Dear Editor,
We wanted to thank you for running the article about the Bandelier logo contest, while also apologizing to the winner, Lily Fehler, for misspelling her name in the information we sent to you.
We’d also like to use this opportunity to thank the other young people who submitted their artwork to the contest: Paris Lynch , Maren Gaussoin Woods, David Li , Andrew Li, Roxanne Grieggs, and Annika Katarina Oyler .
Visitors coming to Bandelier will increasingly be noticing our sustainability efforts. At present, they may see our handsome new Prius and cute little Gem electric vehicle, or stop by the campground to see the solar voltaic system on the fee machine, and there will be more as time goes on.
For those wishing to pitch in toward greater sustainability benefitting individuals, communities, and parks, the website DoYourPartParks.org provides good, doable ideas on reducing carbon footprints, protecting park ecosystems, and even saving money.
