Arrowsmith to speak at MOWW dinner

The MG Franklin E. Miles Chapter 229 of the Military Order of World Wars in Los Alamos announces John Arrowsmith, Los Alamos County utilities department manager, will be the guest speaker at the Chapter’s March 15, 2011 dinner meeting.
The topic of Arrowsmith’s talk will be the El Vado and Abiquiu dam low-flow 3 MW turbine plan to develop the potential of the Los Alamos County hydroelectric generation installations.  
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Best Western Hilltop House, third floor. The meeting will begin with a short social period and business meeting, followed by dinner.  
Arrowsmith’s talk will begin at about 7:15 p.m. The dinner entrée will feature salmon with mango salsa, wild rice, vegetable and roll. The cost is $20 per person.
The MOWW dinner meetings are open to the general public for the dinner and program, or the program only at no cost. Please note that a dinner reservation made is a commitment to the chapter to pay for the reserved dinner(s).
