PATRICK – Arlene Patrick first visited North Oahu, Hawaii, with her beloved husband, Jim, in 1987. She felt a special connection to the island and, after another visit with her husband, had a great desire to share the experience with her whole family. Just before Christmas her wish was fulfilled. Now that she is no longer physically with us, we hope that her spirit finds its rest in that peaceful and beautiful place she loved so well. Arlene Patrick passed on Jan. 1, 2008, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was a wonderful loving wife of 55 years, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was also a loyal friend to many people. She is preceded in death by her mother Jennie Hymas Neeley; her sisters LaRene, Wanda, Vera and Clarice; and her brother Keith. Arlene is survived by her daughter Judy, her son David, her daughters-in-law Lisa and Joanie, her sister Edna Neeley Whittle, and her grandsons Justin and Ryan. Born in Preston, Idaho, on May 16, 1929, she graduated from Utah State University with a degree in education. She lived in New York State and Phoenix, Ariz., while her children were growing up.
