The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will offer tours of the hydroelectric plant in Abiquiu tomorrow starting at noon. The DPU is offering the tours in celebration of National Public Land's Day.
The Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers and the DPU will provide conservation and clean electric power production information for Public Lands Day celebrants, following the group's work party tomorrow morning.
Celebrants of Public Land's Day will be treated to music, a free barbecue, free camping and information tables. The morning work party will participate in trail rehabilitation, litter pick up and tree planting.
