Coming home to Los Alamos didn’t equate into better fortunes for the Hilltopper football team Friday.
Los Alamos fell in its homecoming contest to the Albuquerque Academy Chargers 28-13 Friday night at Sullivan Field. Los Alamos never led in the game and was shut out in the first half.
The Hilltopper defense couldn’t stop Academy wingback Phillip Romero, who rushed for better than 200 yards Friday, much of it coming running wide.
More information on the homecoming game will be in Sunday’s Los Alamos Monitor.
