Remembering Louis Rosen
“Remembering Louis Rosen: His Arms Control Legacy and National Security Leadership” will be presented by the Los Alamos Committee on Arms Control and International Security at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Graves Hall at the United Church in Los Alamos.
Four speakers, all formerly associated with LANL’s national security efforts, will reflect on Rosen’s contributions: John Hopkins, Paul White, Molly Cernicek and David Thomson.
A Manhattan Project veteran and later the founder of the LANSCE accelerator project, Rosen was an effective advocate for the control of nuclear weapons and the reduction of international tensions. In the 1980’s his initiatives led to the establishment of the LANL Center for National Security Studies.
