Hear some Christmas music

  Lynn Lamb’s piano students will perform Christmas music at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fuller Lodge.  Performing on the recital will be Becky Cai, Ariel Chen, Steve Chen, Kevin Gao, Victor Kim, Irene Kwon, Andrew Li, David Li, Kathy Lin, Ben Liu, Alice Shao, Kerry Song, Peter Song, Katherine Wang, Wilbur Wang, Sonyia Williams, Helen Lu, Jovan Zhang and Shena Leng.  The public is invited to attend this festive event.

Pick up a copy of Ryan’s book

  Bun Ryan will sign copies of his book, “My Cat Skills- A Cat’s Tale by Big-a-Boy,” from 10 a.m.-

4 p.m. Saturday at Smith’s Food and Drug in White Rock.

Skate with Santa Saturday

  Santa and his elves will strap on their skates and mingle with the public from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink. Admission is $6.50 at the door and $2.50 for skaters age 5 and younger.

Wells book signing Sunday

  Katherine Wells, petroglyph preservationist, teacher and artist, will sign her new book, “Life on the Rocks: One Woman’s Adventures in Petroglyph Preservation,” at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Otowi Station. Wells will also speak about her work in petroglyph preservation at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Church.

Don’t miss the luminaria skate

  The Christmas Eve Luminaria Skate will take place from 6-8 p.m. Christmas Eve at the Ice Rink. Admission is $6.50 at the door and $2.50 for skaters age 5 and younger.

Dance the night away

  The Los Alamos Big Band Christmas Dance will host a dance from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Hall. Proceeds will help the young people who will attend World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain in 2011 and the WYD solidarity fund.  Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
