Enjoy a concert

  The Community Winds Christmas Concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.

Discuss breastfeeding

  La Leche League of Los Alamos will discuss “Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties” at its monthly meeting at

7 p.m. Dec. 20 in the Teen Room at the First United Methodist Church.

  All interested, pregnant or breastfeeding women are welcome to learn and share, through mother-to-mother support, the basics and benefits of breastfeeding.

  A lending library with books and audiotapes concerning childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting and nutrition is available.

  Nursing babies and toddlers who have difficulty separating, are welcome. LLL is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing information, education, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Screen a documentary

   There will be a screening of the documentary film “Marion Woodman: dancing in the flames” during the reception for the newest art exhibit at Mesa Public Library. The reception will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the upstairs gallery. The exhibit features paintings by Elaine Soto.

Republican Christmas party

  The Los Alamos Republicans will hold their annual Christmas Party at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the home of Chairman Ron Dolin, 236 Rio Bravo, Pajarito Acres.  Guests are requested to bring hor d’oeuvres- type dishes to share.  Beverages will be provided.  Call Ron Dolin 672-3581 for additional information.
