The following restaurant inspection reports were provided by the New Mexico Environment Department. 

 

Santa Fe

 

Agua Fria Elementary, 3160 Agua Fria

Date inspected: Sept. 4

Violations: One high-risk violation for contaminated equipment — Dishwasher sanitizer tested at 0 ppm. Feed hose has air lock, must prime pump and test, provide written response when corrected. Must test daily, required to test daily until next inspection. Must manually sanitize all trays and utensils until repairs/adjustments completed. Three low-risk violations — one for floors/walls/ceilings — gaps in wall panels not sealed; two for ventilation/lighting — toilet room door is not self-closing; one light not working in cooler, inadequate light. Corrected.

Note: Drain pipe not able to withstand hot temp. Pipe melted, does not drain completely, replace with appropriate material and adjust air gap to 10 inches.

Burger King, 1621 Llano St.

Date inspected: Sept. 10

Violations: Two moderate-risk violations, one for improper holding — no thermometer available inside refrigerator; one for contaminated equipment — food scales, many food utensils were not properly cleaned and sanitized after use. One low-risk violation for floors/walls/ceilings — water leaking from the ceiling panel next to ice machine.

Status of establishment: Approved, no follow-up required.

 

Capshaw Middle School, 351 E. Zia Road

Date inspected: Sept. 10

Violations: Two low-risk violations, one for storage — food and food-related items stored on the floor in the dry storage area; one for ventilation/lighting — light out of order on vent hood.

Dream Cakes, 6 Chaparral Court

Date inspected: Sept. 10

Violations: One high-risk violation for contaminated equipment — wiping cloths unsanitary. No presence of sanitizer. Corrected.

Econo Lodge, 3470 Cerrillos Road

Date inspected: Aug. 29, follow-up complaint

Violations: None

EJ Martinez, 410 San Mateo

Date inspected: Sept. 5

Violations: Two low-risk violations for floors/walls/ceilings — wall corner, paint is chipped, peeling near mop sink; floor covering is torn, opening.

Espresso De Arte, 66-70 E. San Francisco St.

Date inspected: Sept. 10

Violations: Two moderate-risk violation for improper holding — install thermometer inside freezer; food-grade thermometer needs to be calibrated.

Mama Pacha, 1722-D, St. Michael’s Dr.

Date inspected: Sept. 4, initial

Violations: One low-risk violation for administration — permit not posted.

Status of establishment: Approved

 

Plaza Café Southside, 3466 Zafarano 

Date inspected: Sept. 5

Violations: Two moderate-risk violations, one for contaminated equipment — cutting boards in kitchen looked stained. Clean and bleach daily. One for animals/vermin/openings — the doorknob is missing, has a hole there. Also, a little opening underneath the back door. Seal. One low-risk violation for ventilation/lighting — one of the light bulbs above the stove does not have cover.

Ramblin’ Café, 1420 Second St.

Date inspected: Sept. 4

Violations: One high-risk violation for improper holding — the beverage air reach-in unit and the undercounter refrigeration units are not holding proper cold holding temperatures. Mayonnaise was at 44 degrees, vinaigrette dressing was at 43 degrees, guacamole was at 45 degrees and cut tomatoes were at 45 degrees. Fix units within 10 days. Three low-risk violations, one for floors/walls/ceilings — an area wall below the exhaust hood is peeling and rusted. Fix. Two for ventilation/lighting — the light bulb in the dry storage room does not have a shield. Cover; the exhaust hood filters are greasy. Clean.

Santa Fe Country Club, 4360-A Country Club Road

Date inspected: Aug. 30

Violations: One moderate-risk violation for contaminated equipment — bar area bare wood above ice bin. Three low-risk violations — one for floors/walls/ceilings — openings and cracks in walls and ceiling, various locations; one for storage — pickles stored on floor; one for ventilation/lighting — unshielded lights in wash area.

Santa Fe Metro Little League, 1121 Alto St.

Date inspected: Sept. 5, closing

Violations: None

Status of establishment: Please close. Seasonal, did not operate this year. Went to the facility kitchen many times, but no one was there.

Tortilleria Chabelita, 1727 St. Michael’s Dr. Suite C

Date inspected: Sept. 4

Violations: None

Notes: Unapproved source, 10 packages wholesale without labels from tortilleria in Albuquerque. Tortillas, bread buns, cookies wholesale, not an approved source — local bakery delivered.

Tribe’s Coffeehouse, 3470 Zafarano

Date inspected: Sept. 5

Violations: One low-risk violation for storage — case of bottled water stored on floor in office room. Lift above floor at least six inches.

Date inspected: Sept. 4

Violations: One moderate-risk violation for contaminated equipment — no sanitizer test kit. One low-risk violation for floors/walls/ceilings — floor tile cracked or missing in kitchen.

Vino del Corazon, 235 Don Gaspar

Date inspected:  Sept. 5

Violations: None

Notes: Wine tasting facility. Little prep area for cheese and fruits used for wine tasting. The three-compartment sink was not in use during inspection, but chlorine sanitizer and test strips are available.
