The following restaurant inspection reports were provided by the New Mexico Environment Department.

Carlos Gilbert Elementary, 300 Griffin

Date inspected: Aug. 29

Violations: Four high-risk violations, two for contaminated equipment — sanitizer in buckets and three-compartment sink at 0 ppm. Corrected, re-mixed, tested at 200 ppm; no hot water in sanitizing test kit. One violation for poor personal hygiene — no trashcan near wash area hand sink. One violation for other — sneeze guard not adequate for school children. Inadequate for food protection on display for service. Three low-risk violations, one for contaminated equipment — inadequate space to work at front three-compartment sink. Replace shelves with narrower, shallow ones. Two violations for floors/walls/ceilings — restroom door not self-closing; one ceiling tile missing above three-compartment sink.

Status of establishment: Approved, no follow-up required.
