Nedra Matteucci Galleries presents, “John Moyers and Terri Kelly Moyers: All Over the Map.” The show will open with a public reception from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at 1075 Paseo de Peralta. It will run through Sept. 1. 


Book signings


The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian Case Trading Post presents a talk, book signing and sales show at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 in the museum library, by Ricardo Caté, creator of the cartoon, “Without Reservations.” The museum is at 704 Camino Lejo, Museum Hill, Santa Fe. Art openings


The Santa Fe Mountain Man Trade Fair, will be Aug. 9-12, at the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors.The event is free ($1 donations welcome) through the Blue Gate, south of the History Museum’s entrance at 113 Lincoln Ave. at the Santa Fe Plaza. 



The Friends of Heron and El Vado Lakes State Parks presents the 2012 Heron Lake Paddle Festival Friday-Sunday. Registration will begin at noon Aug. 10, with a suggested donation of $5. During the weekend, there will be canoe and kayak related clinics, demos, races, games, a used gear sale and much more.
