Hofstra University Law School,  Hempstead, N.Y. announces that Patricia Yvette Medina, daughter of Victor and Patricia Medina of Los Alamos, was named to the dean’s list for the 2012 Semester. She is concurrently working on a Juris Doctor degree and a master’s degree.

Medina was named the 2012 National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award in recognition of her scholarly achievements and her demonstrated contributions to the advancement of women in society. She has been selected to spend a semester abroad at Erasmus University  Faculty of Law for fall 2012 semester. 

The Erasmus School of Law is located at Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Medina attended Barranca Mesa Grade School, Los Alamos Middle School, Los Alamos High School and New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell.

She attended St. Mary University in San Antonio, Texas, where she received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in international business.

Arick Wang of Los Alamos received a bachelor’s degree from Emory College of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., at its 167th commencement ceremony on May 14, 2012.

Emory University is known for its demanding academics, outstanding undergraduate experience, highly ranked professional schools and state-of-the-art research facilities.

Elise Dinehart of Los Alamos graduated from the University of Dallas in May with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. 

 Dinehart was one of approximately 300 students to receive a degree from the university during its spring 2012 commencement ceremony.
