Foxx book signing

  Terry Foxx will sign “Touched by Fire,” her most recent compilation of community stories about the Cerro Grande Fire, and her illustrated children’s book, “The Forest and the Fire,” from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Otowi Station Bookstore.

“The Spitfire Grill”

  Los Alamos Little Theatre presents the heartwarming musical “The Spitfire Grill” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors, and  can be purchased at CB Fox and at the door. Social dance

  Ballroom Etcetera will host a social dance at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Unitarian Church. Music will include ballroom, Latin, swing and Country and Western. A $3 donation per person is requested; no partner is required.

Kite festival

   Los Alamos Arts Council and Los Alamos National Bank present the 13th Annual Kite Festival. Kite flying will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at Overlook Park, White Rock.

Rock out with the Red Elvises

  The Summer Concert Series presents The Red Elvises at 7 p.m. Friday at Overlook Park, White Rock in collaboration with the Kite Festival.

Choir performance

  Azusa Pacific University’s Bel Canto Women’s Choir will perform at

7 p.m. Friday at Crossroads Bible Church. For more information about the concert, call 662-6080. Admission is free but free-will offerings will be accepted.

Income support division hours

  Staff from the Income Support Division of the State of New Mexico will hold hours from 11 a.m.-

1 p.m. Friday at the Self Help office in Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
