Off to see “The Wiz”
The Los Alamos High School Olions Thespian Club presents “The Wiz” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday at Duane Smith Auditorium.
The music students of Charlene Cox-Clifton will present a spring recital at 7 p.m. today for family and friends in Fuller Lodge. Those students performing are Samantha Courtney, Judy Lee, Devon McCleskey, Jin Park, Catherine Runnels, Ciara Sterbenz, Jonathan VanderWiel, Sarah Wallstrom and Justine and Michelle Yang. The public is invited to enjoy a wide variety of music.
The Hilltalkers, the Los Alamos High School speech and debate team, will host a dessert and movie fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. today at the LAHS Speech Theater. All-you-can-eat dessert will be provided along with a movie. Admission is $8 per person.
Chick Keller will lead a bird walk at 8 a.m. Saturday starting at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center. Participants will carpool to Bayo Bench, just past the Barranca Mesa/North Mesa roundabout, from about 8:30- 10:30 a.m.The walk is free and open to the public.
Spring is in the air
Los Alamos Arts Council presents the Spring Arts and Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. -4 p.m. Saturday on the lawn at Fuller Lodge.
The Los Alamos Historical Society will hold the opening celebration for the newly restored Romero Cabin at 11 a.m. Saturday behind Fuller Lodge. This event takes place in collaboration with Los Alamos Arts Council’s Spring Arts and Crafts Fair.
Deborah Beene auditions
Los Alamos Rotary Club will hold Deborah Beene Auditions at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fuller Lodge.
