Forum today

  The Los Alamos Chamber and the Los Alamos Monitor will host a County Council candidate economic issues forum at the Los Alamos Research Park, 4200 W. Jemez Road. Networking begins at 5 p.m. today and the forum will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. All 11 candidates have been invited to participate in the forum.

Leave the cooking to someone else

  The Los Alamos NJROTC will host a brisket night from 5-8 p.m. today at the Posse Lodge. The meal includes brisket, corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, dinner roll, a drink and dessert. The fee is $10.

Off to see “The Wiz”

  The Los Alamos High School Olions Thespian Club presents “The Wiz” at 7 p.m. Friday at the Duane Smith Auditorium.

Hilltalkers fundraiser

  The Hilltalkers, the Los Alamos High School speech and debate team, will host a dessert and movie fundraiser at

6:30 p.m. Friday at the LAHS Speech Theater. All-you-can-eat dessert will be provided along with a movie. The fee is $8 per person.

Spring is in the air

  Los Alamos Arts Council presents the Spring Arts and Crafts Fair from

9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday on the lawn at Fuller Lodge.

It’s time to celebrate

  The Los Alamos Historical Society will hold the opening celebration for the newly restored Romero Cabin at 11 a.m. Saturday behind Fuller Lodge. This event takes place in collaboration with Los Alamos Arts Council’s Spring Arts and Crafts Fair.

Grey Matters

  The Grey Matters Run for Research is an annual fundraiser held at Rover Park in White Rock. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the American Brain Tumor Association. Registration and packet pickup will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday. The youth 1K will start at
