The next meeting of the Los Alamos Geological Society will begin at
7:30 p.m. today at the Christian Church, 92 East Road. Kay Birdsell of Los Alamos National Laboratory will present a talk titled, “Chromium Contamination in the Regional Aquifer beneath Los Alamos National Laboratory.”
Be a Cub Scout
Boys currently in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to visit the local fire station to join Cub Scouting. Boys can have fun with a tour of the station, including the fire prevention trailer, while parents register them as Cub Scouts. Registration will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Los Alamos Fire Station no. 3. Registration fees are $18 through 2010. Parents can make checks to: GSWC-BSA.
