Book fair

  The Los Alamos Medical Center Auxiliary will host a book fair from 9 a.m.-

3 p.m. tomorrow in the main lobby of the hospital.

Little Forest open house

Little Forest Playschool is hosting an open house from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday. Participants are invited to view classrooms, see children’s artwork, meet teachers and pick up registration. For more information, call the school at 662-5895 or visit www.littleforestplayschool.org.

Herbs and vegetable talk

  Starting Vegetables and Herbs from Seed,” a class taught by Martha Davis, will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Pajarito Environmental Education Center, located 3540 Orange St., or PajaritoEEC.org.

See “Old Dogs”

  The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series screens “Old Dogs” at 7 p.m.  Thursday at the White Rock Town Hall.

LAPS meeting

  The Los Alamos Public Schools board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the boardroom to discuss a policy review. Following the meeting, the board will host a retreat at

9:30 a.m.

Don’t miss the Dive-In movie

  The Los Alamos County Recreation Division Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center will present the Spring Diveee'In Movie featuring “Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel.” The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The movie begins at 7 p.m. on the 10x19 foot poolside screen and in the classroom on the 36-inch flat screen TV.  

   Popcorn and refreshments will be available for all.  Bring an inflatable air mattress or rings. Admission is $6 and tickets should be purchased in advance at the aquatic center front counter.

   The center is located at 2760 Canyon Road.  To maximize safety only 125 tickets are available.
