Jason Halladay and Allison Fritz will present their adventures in the Dolomites during the Los Alamos Mountaineers meeting. The meeting will be held in the main room of Fuller Lodge. It will begin with dessert and social time at 7:30 p.m. today, followed by a discussion of trips past and future. The presentation will begin at approximately 8 p.m. The club offers trips that range from easy hikes to technical mountaineering and is committed to safe outdoor practices. “Where the Wild Things Are”
The Family Friendly Film Festival will screen “Where the Wild Things Are,” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the White Rock Town Hall.
Republican party meeting
The Republican Party of Los Alamos monthly meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chama Room of the Best Western Hilltop House. The speaker will be Dianna Duran, Republican candidate for Secretary of State. For information, contact Ron Dolin, 672-3581 or email@example.com.

Discuss S.R. 4 and more
An open house and discussion of the proposed SR4 and trail improvement projects will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the White Rock Fire Station. The White Rock Implementation Committee will host the meeting. Participants can see the alternative roadway section and intersection improvements for SR4 as well as the trail improvements along Canada del Buey. They will also hear from committee members about White Rock Master Plan implementation projects. The public is welcome to provide comments about either having two lanes, four lanes, signal lights or roundabouts. Refreshments will be Served.
